This kid got a great 11 point, pic doesn't do it justice. Prob a 3 year old The count is up to 7 deer down with this buck and another small doe tonight. Had a struggling hunt in my blind tonight with deer not wanting to come out of corn field we hunted by. Hopefully better luck in the morning

Had a decent buck come in first thing this morning but decided to pass on him cuz he's only 2.5. 3 does came by a little while ago but the wind is so calm I never felt confident I could come to full draw without getting picked off so I let them walk. Just had a deer pass behind me in the creek. Maybe something will happen in the next little bit. Beautiful morning.

No more action. It's gonna get up into the mid 80's today and I have work tomorrow so I'm going to skip tonight's hunt and will be back at it Tuesday morning. With the high temps not much is moving during shooting hours right now.

My group lost a doe to the river today. She didn't make it to the other side. Kid was happy for experience and I'm very thankful for getting to share it with him. Got 3 more deer this morning, including another nice buck. I would like to reach out to you guys and ask: If have a child that has a disability or know someone that does and would like to hunt please don't be afraid to send me a PM. We are always looking for more hunters. We have kids from all over the country and we supply tags and have rooms available. If you would just like more information about us or would like to help don't hesitate to contact me. God bless and Iowa boys only 2.5 more days

The view I had this morning. Directly behind me is a steep drop that goes down to a creek. There is the thicket of young pines to the left as pictured and then another thicket about 200 yards to the other side. Catch deer going back and forth between bedding areas. I can slip in the creek and pop up right at my stand for easy entry/exit. Attachments:

Timber company decided it was a good idea to do road work this morning. Nothing brings the deer in like the sound of a bulldozer a couple hundred yards away. *sigh*

Well they messed around with their equipment til about 10 so as you can imagine the morning was a bust. My wife texted me on her lunch break that she wants to go tonight so hopefully I have better luck this evening.

Saw 2 turkeys and 2 does tonight but decided to pass because I didn't want to have to mess with two deer in 80 degree heat if my wife killed. She didnt see anything though so guess I should have killed after all. I'm gonna draw blood in the morning. I feel it. Haven't had a day pic of a buck in probably close to 2 weeks so unless one surprises me I'll be out on doe patrol in the morning.
