The break over point is somewhat abrupt but the wall is as solid as I have ever felt. Now while I did not like the #1 setting because of it wanting to take off, I equally did not like #3. I swear the valley was three inches long! I was trying to let it down and it wouldn't.
It's a screamer. I've never been a "speed" guy, I opt for slower and quiet. At 10.2 gpi it is still slinging them downrange rather quickly and still quiet. I am impressed. The wife got a 50 lb Carbon Element as well so we will be tearing up the Glendel over the next several months. I'll keep ya posted...

Sounds awesome.. I've been a Hoyt guy for many years. Ive been shooting a blacked out element since 2012 and I love it. I've been wanting to shoot the new Nitrum as well as some other bows but I'm afraid I can't stand the pressure and buy one.. Lol

Haha I hear you! Back in my 3D days I was a Hoyt shooter, loved them! Shot Ultratec's for many years. Then I got an advisory staff deal with Mathews and never really shot them all that well, although the Q2XL was pretty nice. Then my buddy opened a shop selling Bowtechs and cut me a good deal on a Guardian and have been a Bowtech guy ever since. I did shoot a Nitrum earlier this spring and it was SWEET!

Our local shop sells bowtech and hoyt. As I get older I seemed to be getting less and less brand loyal. That's why I'm afraid to start shooting new bows, I've got the itch for a new One but know that I don't need one.

I agree with you boggs. The bow I've been shooting is still in pretty good shape, all I really needed to do was replace some accessories. Brittle fiber optic kept breaking on sight, cable slide worn, etc... Seemed like everytime I went to the woods last year it was something different. The plan was to sell it after I got my new one. Told my wife the other night "you know this new bow is so nice I hate to take it to the woods and scratch it all up, I may keep my old one to hunt with." Her response was "ummmmm no." Haha

Lol... Typical wife... They just don't understand. Reckon she would want wear a new a pair of shoes out in to a muddy yard when she had a perfectly good reliable old pair that would get the job done? I guess that's comparing apples to oranges tho. I know how you feel tho.. I smothered out over hunting with my element when I bought it .. Then the clip on my pull rope didn't close one day and I dropped it 24 feet. I was sick but a little adjustment and I was right back in killing mode.!!!

Holy shiznit! I would have puked if I had dropped it! I have heard the carbon riser are pretty tough though...
As far as the wife, she is far from typical haha, she loves to hunt and is a deer killin' machine! I just think she wants me to sell the old bow to recoup some of that $2300 check we wrote at the archery shop... ( :

Yeah, just about had a stroke .. Seemed like it took 5 minutes to hit the ground.. But I've had no problems with it. I hear you on the trip to the shop was hard on the checkbook... But all the enjoyment you to will get out of them is worth way more. My better half likes to shed hunt and run cameras but that's as far as she will go.. But she loves to see me come home with whatever I'm hunting.. Real supportive and never complains about how much time I spend in the field.

Starting to dial her in... (the rain finally stopped for 5 minutes) Don't look like you need much dialing.. Good looking group. You got that thing driving tacks.. Me and a buddy went to the 3d range yesterday for the first time this year.. Fired a few in the practice bags and was consistently 3 inches low at all yardages out to 60. Did some quick adjustments... Shot a 276 and completely missed one one down hill target a bedded doe at 44 yards. Need more practice and fine tuning before I try to shoot the weekly tournament.

Yeah she dailed in pretty quickly. Took my wife to the pro shop today to get a little fine tuning done and she is shooting well now too. Got a heck of a deal on some arrows for her as well! She shoots FMJ 500's and today we picked up a dozen (6 new and 6 used, cut to length and inserts installed) for $70....
