Doe #5 for the year hit the dirt this morning. 30 yd slightly quartering shot and I almost screwed it up. Hit her a little high and a little front. Got close lung and just clipped the front of the off side lung. Arrow came out at the base of the neck. 300ish yard track job (closer to the truck, yay!!!) and got within 35 yds of her and she lifted her head so I put another arrow in her but she never even got up. That was it.
Back in the stand and ready for some buck action in this sauna of woods. It's warm so I'm not expecting to see much until happy hour tonight.

What I would do to have those temps!!! These warm days are past getting old. The mature bucks just don't seem to be moving in this heat. The temps were better here in mid October than they were all of November. Rut action has been sloooooooooow to say the least. Bring on the 30s!!!

Yesterday was a high of over 60! We normally have a few good inches of snow by now. I think that cold air is making it's way over here I hope....

I'd take some cold weather but you can keep the ice. It was 73 yesterday and 68 today.

5 teams within 90 points - yeah that's about as close as it gets!
I'm trying to upgrade but its tough going right now. Rut seems a thing of the past. The few bucks ive seen lately don't pay any attention to the does. December I often start picking up mature bucks again on camera so I'm hoping same holds true this year.
Good luck guys! Lets win this thing.
