Damn, that sucks what fire can do to some places. Good to see people from all over lending a hand to help fellow Americans. Good luck getting your land back in order. Prayers for you.

My Dad called me yesterday. Rake (the biggest deer on our place) not only survived the fire. He is still hanging out in our pastures. Turns out he wanted to say thank you and left us a gift. His right side shed of 85.5". It was dropped sometime in the last 3 weeks. After the fire. GAME ON!!!

So sorry for your losses! That's the worse fire damage I've ever seen. Your right about the news coverage, haven't heard much about it here. Most people don't have a clue how much work, time and money is involved in just fences on a farm. Having everything destroyed has to be very demoralizing. Glad to see your already working on things.

Made it down to the farm again Saturday. Checked feeders, not much activity but I only have 2 cameras. My food plots are all growing good. Should help pull the deer back in later this summer. Helped pull up a mile of fence and picked up some more posts and things. The water really ran off last week during one of the bigger rains. No grass to slow it down. All the creeks were full. The ponds and any low spot were standing water. This is a picture of a whirlpool about 150 yards from where my dad found that big shed. Water coming in from West hitting water coming from the north. Water runs through there during big rains, but it's never done this before. I finally got my hands on Rake's right side. My Dad didn't score it right. 90 7/8"!!! We rode all afternoon and didn't find the other side. I'm hoping it's in the water in that low spot. It's the only place we couldn't look.

Nice to see lots of "green" out there 5 mile. That is one helluva buck to have a match set of sheds to. Hope the next time your holding up his rack, their is a brain between those antlers instead of wood

I need to get some pics loaded of the progress down at the ranch. Cool weather and lots of rain allowed us to grow some serious grass. I hope to get new blinds and cameras out in Mid-August. But I was waiting to make sure I had something to hunt. All I can say is GAME ON!!! Rake is back!
