Thats an awesome buck man. Ive been pretty fortunate to take those bucks. I hate I couldnt find the one for a few weeks. I killed him last year. I hunt in Ohio and Illinois. Ive got another buck Im really hoping shows up from last year but he is a no show so far. Huge bodied main frame 8 point. Here are a couple pics of him. Cant wait to see him this year. He is at least 8.5 this year. Dont mind the date on that pic. Never could get that cam to hold the date or time. Here are consecutive years here from the first time I seen him. 2014 2015 2016 2017

Its just a matter of time. I pulled cards last weekend and some that were hot with bucks have just petered out. I think its the horns hardening, acorns starting to drop, beans turning time of year. They go MIA for a couple weeks then they come back. May put a couple cams out this weekend up on the oak flats. There aren’t a lot of acorns this year but the ones that have them are loaded. Id say there is one dropping now. Usually starts about now. We will see.

There was one buck in particular that I'm pretty excited to see come back from the late summer hiatus, if he finished as well as some of the others he was hanging out with did I think he'll work. It's not uncommon for those bucks at that place to be away until as late as mid Oct, I sure hope I get to at least see him on the cameras before then
