Way to go Ben!!! I had my boy out this morning for the youth hunt. He put in a solid 5 hour sit in the ground blind. Not bad for a 9 year old. He didn't want to hunt this evening so I took him home and I can finally climb in the stand with a bow tonight. Doe only but I am fine with that.

Congrats Ben!! Way to get it done! Forgot how well feathers show blood. I used feathers many years shooting a recurve.

Well I was hesitant with the temps in the 80's and how far I was from the truck, knowing I had to be to work by 10pm. But I ended up shooting a doe this evening. She ran about 125 yards but 100 of it was through a cattail marsh with about a foot of water in it. My phone died and GPS froze on the drag out and I got turned around a bit. Managed to get her on ice and jump in the shower just in time to get to work. I don't know if this pic counts or if I need to take another with my bow tomorrow. I left the bow and stand at the tree cause I knew the marsh was gonna be a pain to get through. I ran out of time when I got back to the truck.

Had a great hunt last evening. Had a mature buck feeding on acorns with a group of does. He was mature 8 pt but he was lacking on brow tines so I shot the doe. She was broadside at 15 yards double lung and seen her fall. Cutting up meat now and hope to be back in the tree this afternoon.

Congrats on the doe. As long as everyone gets at least a doe we have a fighting chance. Throw in a few decent bucks and we can pull off a win.
