I've still got one I'm after, was super close friday and didnt even know it at the time. Got skunked that evening but he was 150 yds away from me and must've taken the wrong path. Would've probably been a slight upgrade. Definitely a maturity upgrade, this guys at least 5.

Same here freezer is full but once we start getting 10 ° or colder I will be out hoping to catch a big boy feeding We don't have any long periods of cold but I will be out Wednesday and Thursday. The cold front should hopefully get something moving.

Who's still chasing bucks? Looks like a 110" would put us in 1st place for a minute. I am still looking for an upgrade, but to be honest. If I eat my last tag I won't be upset. I have had a pretty good season and plenty of meat in the freezer. I didn’t say anything about it at the time but I put an arrow through a buck that would’ve put us in first on December 1st, unfortunately I think I hit him in the brisket. Tracked him 600-1000 yards up down and over 3 big ridges and never found him. Really hope he’s fine and shows back on cam. We are in the middle of shotgun season right now, I’ll try again around Christmas.

Yeah he was quartering away, I must’ve not aimed far enough back. If we need a doe for the win I should be able to get one when the season opens back up.

Man that’s a bummer I know the feeling on that buck I did the same thing with still haven’t gotten a 100% pic of the one I hit was really hoping he’d show back up but no luck so far my dad had a good morning Saturday got a 4 1/2 year old 8 with his muzzleloader I’m still out but not seeing much at all for bucks even little ones are hard to find after they have been pounded with the long gun seasons here In michigan

About 2 weeks ago I had a chance at a monster. I believe he was over 180, I shot one 172 and he looked bigger and the trees he was rubbing were like telephone poles. I climbed a tree about 3:30 and at 4:00 I heard some leaves crunching. I was on my power line with a small tree in front of me for cover with about a 2 foot gap for shooting straight ahead. A doe and this unbelievable monster came out. The buck bobbed his head at me for awhile then thought nothing of me as I sat still. Finally, the doe came out and then the buck and 3 smaller bucks behind. He was perfect broad side at 28 yards. Heart beating I stood up drew and was slowing squeezing perfectly. He took one step and his vitals were covered, but I could have shot and still hit vitals angled away. I decided to keep bow drawn and get him on the other side of the tree. My bow nicked a branch and spooked the doe. I let down, he spun around and gave me another broad side shot, but by the time I drew, he saw me and took off 60 yards in the woods and stood there. I won't forget that encounter the rest of my life, pissed for not taking the shot.
