Anybody else besides Alan and I fan of flash trail cams? I'm going to start going more and more to them as the night time pics are so much better. It seems even more expensive IR cams have blurry night pics. Today I ordered a WGI white razor 6 flash to go with my d-55 flash. I wish the industry would go back to them a little. I think reconyx might have something in the works.

I'm just paranoid about them bothering certain cautious bucks. I've noticed after a few good pics of a buck he seems to avoid them, even watched one go completely behind one once while watching him through binos. a few hundred yards away.

I feel as though I have had just as many spooked by my IR cams than I have with my flash cams. My number one target buck is a good example, he will go by my cameras one time each year then will avoid them the rest of the year. You can tell in the pics he doesn't like the cam and one of them is even a no glow cam ad both at that spot are IR

when we started using trail cameras we had 35mm auto winding cameras set to two shots. so an animal triggered the camera "flash . . .whiiiiiirrrr (film advance) flash" to start off we never had a deer in the second pic then one time there in the second pic was a deer running strait away from the camera. eventually they didn't seem to mind so much and would just stand there for the pics. later that same year, december as i recall i bought my first leafriver camera even though we had many many pics of them looking right at the camera they didn't seem to mind them at all. i think they "HEAR" the cameras more than see them. jmo. i going to check the new white flash camera today and i'll post some of the bad pics on this thread later today. and . . . . all the big bucks never show up in front of the cameras, promise

bad pic from that camera. it does not freeze the action like a strobe flash would but i'm over 1,700 pics and still full battery meter. typical pic from that camera. understand the barrel lets me get quite a few pics so i think if i'm going to change the one i have on the scrape to 15 second delay instead of 1 minute and a pic i just thought was cool

I had one of my IR Coverts on vid mode, as soon as the bucks realized the red glow, they spooked off a little bit and looked back at the camera. Did not like it, so I switched it out for a no glow cam. Still haven't seen one of the bucks back there yet. I wonder what a flash cam would do.

i had a buck two years ago that i swore was just avoiding my camera. i got pics of him july 5th the day after i set the camera up with another really nice buck. the other buck was like clockwork (until a week before season) but that other one was only on that camera one other time. i went and put one of my old moultrie on a trail crossing in video mode and got a video of him though. in 2006 i got one pic of a buck that was shaking his head, he was big but you couldn't really tell what he was. the next year he was on my cameras pretty regular and i killed him nov 2nd. bucks are different for sure. this buck looks pretty old to me and he's one of the biggest bucks i have ever had on my cameras and for the last two weeks he has hardly missed a night of being on that camera. i have two other bucks i want to shoot that go weeks between appearances on my cameras. when i figure this out i'll let you guys know
