My season will end this Sunday. Tomorrow is warm day for me to get out. I hope I will see a buck I passed in accident last month. He is still there I got him on my trail last week.

Water is receding here but my grounds are a total mess. Lost 3 trail cams and everything else is just a mess. My food plots look like nuclear debris fields. Gonna be some busy times getting it all cleared and ready to replant. Hope you all can upgrade if ya have the chance and I will keep checking in.

Thanks guys. The luck is not with me. On Wednesday morning I seated on north stand I saw him 20 yards from south stand. Today I seated on south stand he walked by north stand. My stand 80 yards apart. Weather is nasty now I may try one more time on Saturday morning.

sorry you couldnt get your hands on him canuck!! Hogster, that sucks buddy!!! Amazing what damage water can do That is a stud of a buck lovehunt!! Good luck with him tomorrow if you make it out. Sorry to be MIA the last week. Been slammed busy at work all week and put in (5) 12 hour days catching up. Going to hit the woods hard tomorrow and hopefully get a shot. Going to a spot i havent hunted at all this year, where my buddy shot the freaky looking buck earlier in the season. Wind is good and temps are down. Should be a good sit. Not passing anymore of those 120's should one of them be unlucky enough to pass by me tomorrow On a good note, my dad and i hunted together last sunday and he layed the hammer down on a 110" 8 point. Was happy to see him shoot and recover his first buck of the year! I have pics on my cell and will post one here shortly.

I almost just sealed the deal on a 130" 8 pt. he stayed out at 50 yds and stepped through the only hole I had to fast to get the shot off. He went out in the swamp to bed. Hopefully he comes back in the same trail he took out this afternoon. I will have a surprise for him if he does. Pic of Dad's buck from last Sunday Attachments:

Thanks for the support guys. Has been a rough last few weeks for sure. We got about 7 inches of snow last night so I am headed out tomorrow to glass some areas to see what might be still around. Have one food plot full of turnips that didn't get hit by flooding so I hope with the snow they will hit it.. Tell your pops congratulations brush that's a dandy.

Hope you saw some deer last night hogster! I will tell pops you said congrats. He was/is stoked about it. He has a hard time getting as deep in as i do, but he tries his best. He is also on a med called plavix (sp) and bleeds like a stuck pig if we encounter some briars LOL.
Oh, and that buck obviously didnt come back in the same path yesterday. He never showed back up. All i saw was a little button buck last night from the stand. Had me all excited when i heard him coming through the cat tails from the same direction that 130 went out in the morning. had the bow up, release clipped on and already putting tension on the string when he popped out LOL.

I am planning public Colorado Elk hunt this year or next year. Any of you done it before ? That can be a tuff hunt. I went three times with a friend on our own, twice saw 0 elk and once I had two shot opportunities on cows but didn't shoot. It's a really big place with not enough animals.
