We called a double on coyotes this morning. One was 50 yards or so behind the other as they came in. We always shoot the second one first. The first was probably about 60 yards and the second was 120 (ranged afterward) I was first at bat so I told my son as soon as I had a shot I was going to take the second so he'd be ready to shoot. So I can see about 4" of the top of his back all of a sudden he goes down in the grass and I can see his tail flailing around, next he pops his head up with a rabbit in his mouth! So in my mind I think "well he won't want our rabbit now" boom, whop, he's down. Taylor gets off one shot as the other turns inside out and it gets into a gully, man they can use terrain. We go over to get the one I shot and there's a still warm rabbit laying right beside it.
