Can't wait for next week to get here. Been out a couple times locating them in the morning. I'm hearing some good gobbling so hope I can connect on a couple longbeards.

I called in 3 strutters last Saturday morning. Ran an arrow through the dominant bird at 6:30, hit was a touch low and he ran out into the hayfield 50yds and layed down. As soon the other 2 saw him they ran to him and beat the crap out of him the remaining 40 yds to the timber. My bird was struggling to go. After a bit they started gobbling again and I sat tight hoping they would come back out. At 8 a coyote came out right where they went in and I knew what I was gonna find. He was laying about 20' inside the woods just down over a creek bank. He had an 11" beard and 1" spurs.

Was able to wrap my tag around one today. 18# 11 1/4" beard 3 3/4" beard 7/8" spurs Photo isn't the greatest since he got his tail feathers wet flopping in the damp weeds.

Tagged my second bird Sunday evening. Had a pretty fun season for the most part. Couple days were a little rough when the birds just didn't want to play the game. 19# 9" beard 1 1/8" spurs
