I'm thinking it'd be smart to purchase a mountain bike to check cams and get around on the public ground I'm planning to hunt this year. The main areas I plan to hunt this year have tractor roads scattered around them for food plot access but no motorized vehicles are allowed. Typically I just throw my stand on my back, grab my bow and set out walking but having a bike to get to and from seems like it'd be the ticket. I was looking at the fat tire bikes. They looked like the best option for muddy trails. Anybody ever use one of these? If so, are they worth the extra $?

Buddy of mine has one. He said it would go anywhere and was comfortable to ride over rough terrain.
