I'm trying to do some cyber scouting on Shawnee State Forest in Ohio, but for some reason weather underground will not display any historic weather for the area. Is there anyone from the area that can tell me what the prevailing winds are in November. I've hunted there a long time ago and can't seem to remember what the winds were. Judging by the areas I hunted it looks like I was hunting SW winds.
Also what terrain features should I focus on to find doe bedding areas? I remember finding a lot of doe bedding on ridge tops in the briar tangles. Feel free to send me a private message or just post on the board. Thanks!

I live about 15 minutes from Shawnee....I used to say the prevailing wind for November would be out of the north or northwest but it seems like the last few years have been all out of whack. We’ve gotten a lot more south winds mixed in. As far as doe bedding areas, those green briar thickets are always good to find them in. Anywhere thick will hold deer in Shawnee since a lot of it is big open timber. I’d probably do some scouting around some of the areas they’ve timbered. Look for those benches that are 1/3 to 1/2 way down the hill from the ridge top. Those can be good spots to find bedding areas.

I haven't been there since 2010 so I hope it hasn't got any busier.

They are still pulling good deer out of there, it just takes a lot of work. My buddy killed a 183” in 2014
