Was talking to David today (southernCanuck) and we agreed that BOW needs us all to be more active this year. Let’s revive this place. I love having this place to come too but the moral definitely seemed to be at an all time low last year. Hell, only 1 team could muster up a team name for the deer contest. Let’s pick it back up. Comment on others threads, share what your seeing and when your seeing it. Tell your hunt story, successes and failures. There are way too many hardcore, determined, Knowledgable, and just plain crazy hunters here with more to share then we are. WHAT CAN WE DO TO HELP CODY???

I’m going to do a Broadhead test this weekend and I will post up as much of it as I can and will definitely show the results. I have 4 complete deer shoulders with leg bones attached I saved from last season to shoot at and made 4 test subjects out of boxes and styrofoam. One has 4 layers of sheet metal to shoot through, one has a few sheets of Luan, one has 2 layers of luan on one side and 4 layers on the other side (trying to simulate a rib deflection) and one has a big ass block of wood to bust through. The shoulders should be fun!!

We all know this is by far the best group of bow hunters on the web. This site was rocking just a couple years ago so let’s get it back there. We all come back looking for updates here and there so when you sign on drop a line and let everybody know what you’ve been up to, what bow your shooting this year, what states you plan to hunt, trail cam pics you got from your last card pull etc.
It’s getting to be that time of year where guys should be out hanging stands, checking cams, shooting bows and making game plans for opening day. Share that stuff with us so we can all start looking forward to the many updates from big buck killers that made this site so great! If y’all make me go back to having to get my fix of reading & sharing about bow hunting big deer on AT, it’ll be a sad day! Cody, print us off some hats that say “Make BOW Great Again”!

I’ve thought about the exodus heads for awhile I used them all last season and won’t be switching any time soon. Absolutely loved them. Just curious how they stack up against some of the other ones I have around here.

I hit 2 good bucks in the shoulder over the last 5 years and had to watch them walk out of my life. Both at 20 yds. I just shanked the shots a bit, but after that second one, I decided to build an arrow that will blow through that shoulder. Don’t plan to pull another shot that far forward, but I didn’t plan to do either of those times either. The exodus heads seem to be fitting that bill so far

Wow I’m glad to see there’s still some of you that care about this place! I’ll be honest I’ve just kind of accepted that message boards seem to be dying off these days and haven’t put the same amount of effort into it that I used to. Heck I didn’t even announce the winning team from last years contest because I didn’t think anyone would care and I’ve considered not running it at all this year. I’m just as guilty as anyone else, the last two years of tag soup really got me down and losing out on my dream buck 3rd day of the season was devastating to be honest. I’m going to try my best this year to go in with a good attitude and just enjoy the season for all the little things that it brings. Judging by what survived last season I should have some damn nice ones to chase this year. Excited to get the cams out here in a week or so and seeing what’s around. As far as what you guys can do to help, I’d say you’re doing it. Just being active and excited on the forums is contagious. Here’s to making BOW great again!

One of the main things I love about this place is it’s a small group of hardcore guys that like to help and encourage each other. You can’t find that type of atmosphere on Facebook or AT. I remember when I first came over here it was just a small handful of guys that were really active and it attracted a bunch of like minded bow hunters and as a result. We can get it back. I still check this forum first thing everyday when I get up. Be great to start seeing those updates I use to enjoy so much! I’ll start posting more. Hope others will too.

Those days weren’t all that long ago for me. Used to shoot 84lbs back in the day then mid 70 lbs for a Long time. Had a unfortunate accident that tore my labrum and rotator cuff in my bow shoulder. Now I shoot 63 lbs, but I still shoot so I’m not complaining!!

At the end of the day, they are only deer brother. (Yeah, i just can’t take my own advise lol). Definitely want to see the excitement here again. I don’t have Facebook or any of those other social things, and I’ll be damned if I enter the AT contest with the over inflated scored bucks that were shot with a crossgun and recovered 3 weeks later. I like the guys and camaraderie here soooo much better. I remember that first year I came here and reluctantly offered to be on a team to help fill the last spot needed to make the teams. Now I sign up the first couple minutes after you open the thread . I would be happy to help run the contest, organize things, tally scores, whatever, if need be to run it again!! Seriously, I will help. Just let me know what to do
